«We are soldiers » wishes to faithfully transpose the story of the war trough the journey of three volunteers. The fate of these men shows a different vision of this war which Russia described as an internal conflict in Ukraine.

The movie tries to decypher the notion of heroism today in a country from the ex-soviet block.
