22nd February – Welcome to Volunteering! – Online

Here at Dublin City Volunteer Centre, we believe that volunteering is for everyone. We want to help you find volunteering that suits your circumstances and goals, whatever those might be.

If you are an International Protection Applicant, Displaced Person, or Refugee we invite you to join us for this special tailored information event that will give you everything you need to know to start volunteering.

We will discuss:

• volunteering while waiting for your transfer
• how to register with the Volunteer Centre and find volunteer opportunities
• continuing volunteering even if you leave Dublin
• volunteering if you need to improve your English
• how volunteering can benefit you
• a few ideas for roles to get you started!

There will also be a chance to ask questions of our staff members.

Volunteering is not only a great way to help others and contribute to society – it can also be a chance to meet new people, get to know Dublin, build your skills, and bring some activity and structure to your week. Lots of people have found volunteering to be a rewarding and enjoyable way to integrate into Irish society – why not come along and learn more?
